Replace the bag even if the app says it is fine
Bag sensors measure airflow, not fill level. Fine dust clogs bag pores long before the bag is physically full.
Clear the robot's bin flap
Turn the robot over. The rubber flap on the underside of the bin must fall closed on its own; hair wrapped around its hinge holds it open and kills suction.
Wipe the dock port seal
The rubber gasket around the dock's intake hardens with dust. Wipe it with a damp cloth and check the robot sits fully seated.
Clean the dock filter
Behind or under the bag there is a foam or pleated filter. Tap it out, or rinse and dry for 24 hours.
Check the bin filter in the robot
A clogged robot filter also throttles dock airflow. Replace every 2–3 months.
Check the dock's ramp sensors
If the robot docks slightly crooked, the port misaligns. Clean the charging contacts and the dock's IR window.
Frequently asked questions
How often should an auto-empty dock run?
After every clean by default. Reducing it to every second run saves bags but risks the robot's small bin overflowing in pet homes.
